Little Outings is an independent, free tool for finding family events and things to do near you. We list public information, link to the official source, and show when we last checked it. We never make up details. Please confirm with the venue or organizer before you go.

Where our information comes from

• Local events: checked by hand on each organizer's official website (cities, libraries, farms, zoos, museums and others). Every card links to that page and shows the date we checked it.
• Ticketed events: some listings are provided by the Ticketmaster Discovery API. We show Ticketmaster's event name, dates, times, venue and listed price range as provided, link each one to its Ticketmaster event page, and keep the data for no more than about an hour. Ticketmaster doesn't supply age or indoor/outdoor information, so we don't display any for those listings. Little Outings is not affiliated with or endorsed by Ticketmaster.
• Places (parks, libraries, museums, pools and more): © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database License (ODbL). We look them up through Photon by Komoot and the VK Maps Overpass API instance. Price levels for these places are our own estimates.
• Verified prices: copied from each venue's official website, with the date checked and a link to the source.
• Weather: forecasts from the National Weather Service (NOAA), through the public api.weather.gov service. We show each weekend day's forecast high and chance of rain as the National Weather Service publishes them, and use them to suggest indoor picks. Forecasts cover US locations only; elsewhere, or if the service is unavailable, we simply don't show weather. Little Outings is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Weather Service or NOAA.
• ZIP code locations: Zippopotam.us, whose postal data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0).
• Directions: links open Google Maps. We don't embed Google services.

Names and trademarks of venues, organizers and Ticketmaster belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.

Corrections and removals

Spot something wrong, or want your event or venue removed? Email wu.gb.2626@gmail.com. We aim to act on removal requests within 24 hours.

Disclosures: sponsored content and affiliate links

Right now Little Outings has no sponsored listings, paid placements, advertising or affiliate links, and no one pays us to be listed or ranked.

If we add any of these later, we commit to the following:

• Every paid or sponsored listing will be clearly labeled "Sponsored" (or similar) right on the listing, not hidden in fine print.
• If a link can earn us a commission, we'll say so near the link and on this page.
• Sponsors can't change event facts such as dates, prices or age guidance, and we'll keep checking those against official sources.
• We'll explain here how paid placement affects where a listing appears.
• We'll update our Privacy Policy before adding any advertising or tracking technology.
